This is a personal garage sale run by Diego to clear out a storage unit. Here's exactly what the site does with your details. Short version: we only use them to get your stuff to you, and we don't share them with anyone.
What we collect
- When you claim, bid, or buy an item: your name and the contact you give (a messenger handle or phone number).
- If you sign up for a free-pile heads-up: your email.
- Basic, cookieless visit stats (via Cloudflare) so we know roughly how many people dropped by. No personal profiles, no ad tracking.
Why we collect it
Only to run the sale: to contact you about the item you claimed, bid on, or made an offer for, and to arrange pickup. If the first buyer falls through, we may use your details to offer you the item next. The email is used for one thing, a single heads-up before the free pile day (date to be announced).
How long we keep it
We keep your name and contact only while the item you're interested in is still finding its buyer. If you bid or make an offer and miss out, we hold your details until that item is sold and collected, in case the first buyer falls through and we come back to you. Once an item is collected, every contact detail tied to it is deleted. Anything still held, plus all email signups, is deleted when the sale wraps up at the end of August.
Who sees it
Just Diego, and his wife who helps with handovers while he's away. We never sell, rent, or share your details with anyone else.

Want your details removed sooner? Message Diego through the Facebook post you found this on, or reply to any message from us, and they'll be deleted.
